Seafood Au Gratin

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 16 ounces crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 pint prepared basic sauce, medium to fairly thick
  • 6 ounces grated cheese, your choice of type
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for shells

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 450°f.
  • 2 heat the sauce almost to a boil.
  • 3 butter shells and set on parchment paper covered cookie sheet.
  • 4 mix flaked seafood into sauce.
  • 5 add salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
  • 6 spoon filling into shells.
  • 7 sprinkle grated cheese over filling.
  • 8 place in hot oven just until browned lightly, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • 9 add a dash of paprika for color and tabasco or worcestershire for added flavor, if desired.
  • 10 very nice garnished with chives or dill weed.
