Shredded Barbecue Beef

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • 3 -4 lbs chuck roast
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon savory salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • water, to cover
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • bun

Recipe

  • 1 place roast, bouillon cubes, spices and tomato paste in dutch oven. cover with water. bring to a boil; simmer covered for four hours.
  • 2 uncover and simmer four more hours.
  • 3 add barbecue sauce and cook uncovered until tender and falling apart. remove bones and fat. shred what has not fallen apart and serve on buns.
