Quick Cheeseburger Rice

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups minute rice, uncooked
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons dill relish
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped tomatoes

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat and onion in a large skillet on medium-high heat; drain fat.
  • 2 stir in water, ketchup, mustard and salt. bring to a boil.
  • 3 stir in uncooked rice; cover.
  • 4 remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • 5 fluff with fork.
  • 6 sprinkle with cheese; cover.
  • 7 let stand for 3 minutes or until cheese melts.
  • 8 serve with the lettuce, relish, tomatoes and whatever else you like on your cheeseburger.
