San Antonio Tacos

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 2 lbs ground round
  • 2 tablespoons onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon minced hot green chili pepper
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 24 taco shells
  • shredded lettuce
  • finely chopped tomato
  • shredded longhorn cheese

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef in skillet.
  • 2 add onion, garlic, spices, chile, seasonings and tomato sauce.
  • 3 cover and simmer 15 minutes while heating the taco shells according to package directions.
  • 4 fill the shells with the meat mixture, then top with lettuce, tomato and cheese.
  • 5 makes 24 tacos.
