Slow-cooked Barbecued Beef

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast, fat trimmed
  • 1 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place roast in crockpot and add remaining ingredients.
  • 2 cook in crockpot on low 6-8 hours, until meat falls apart easily.
  • 3 shred and serve.
