Slow Cooker Mediterranean Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 1/2 lbs boneless chuck roast, all visible fat removed
  • 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 16 ounces spaghetti

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle the garlic, basil, oregano and red pepper flakes over both sides of the meat.
  • 2 pour 1 cup spaghetti sauce into a crock pot.
  • 3 place the meat over the sauce.
  • 4 pour the remaining 1/2 cup sauce over meat.
  • 5 cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the meat is fork tender.
  • 6 transfer the meat to a cutting board and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
  • 7 spoon off and discard any fat from sauce in the crock pot.
  • 8 about 12 minutes before serving time, prepare spaghetti according to package directions. drain well.
