Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot, chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1/2 cup rice, uncooked
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 (19 ounce) can black-eyed peas
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350'.
- 2 brown ground beef in oil.
- 3 add celery, onions, and carrots.
- 4 cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 5 drain off any extra fat.
- 6 add remaining ingredients except cheese.
- 7 stir to mix.
- 8 put into casserole dish.
- 9 sprinkle cheese on top.
- 10 bake for 25 minutes at 350'f.
