Skillet Supper

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrot, chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup rice, uncooked
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 (19 ounce) can black-eyed peas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350'.
  • 2 brown ground beef in oil.
  • 3 add celery, onions, and carrots.
  • 4 cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 5 drain off any extra fat.
  • 6 add remaining ingredients except cheese.
  • 7 stir to mix.
  • 8 put into casserole dish.
  • 9 sprinkle cheese on top.
  • 10 bake for 25 minutes at 350'f.
