Sausage, Pepper & Onion Hogies

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 3 medium green peppers, sliced
- 3 medium red peppers, sliced
- 3 lbs hot italian sausage links (may use mild, it's just a matter of preference)
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 italian hoagie rolls
Recipe
- 1 cook sausage in skillet over medium heat, about 15 minutes, turning every once in awhile.
- 2 you want sausage to get nice and browned.
- 3 while sausage is cooking heat oil in large fry pan.
- 4 add garlic, onions, and peppers.
- 5 saute for about 10 minutes.
- 6 then cover and simmer for another 10-15 minutes-- until all vegs.
- 7 are tender.
- 8 remove sausage from skillet& drain on paper towels.
- 9 cut the links into 2" size pieces.
- 10 heat broiler.
- 11 combine everything in a large bowl and blend together well.
- 12 spoon into individual hogie rolls.
- 13 top with mozzarella cheese.
- 14 broil until cheese melts.
