Smoked Prime Rib (rich Davis, K.c. Masterpiece Resturant)

Total Time: 4 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 lbs prime rib roast
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup celery salt
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place dry rub seasonings over entire roast surface.
  • 2 grill roast in smoker (indirect heat) for 3 to 4 hours at 200 to 250 deg. or until a meat thermometer indicates 140 deg (for m-rare).
  • 3 sprinkle crushed rosemary leaves 3/4 of the way thought the cooking time.
