Mincemeat Custard Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup mincemeat
  • 1 9" unbaked pie shell

Recipe

  • 1 combine sugar, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • 2 add eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 press mincemeat evenly over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
  • 5 slowly por custard mixture over mincemeat.
  • 6 bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
  • 7 reduce heat to 350 and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until knife inserted near centre comes out clean.
  • 8 cool before serving.
