Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Total Time: 8 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar beef gravy
  • 1 (1 ounce) package au jus mix
  • 0.5 (1 ounce) package italian salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Recipe

  • 1 place roast in slow cooker.
  • 2 combine gravy, au jus mix, salad dressing mix and wine in a medium bowl.
  • 3 pour mixture over meat.
  • 4 cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.
  • 5 remove roast to plate; cover with foil to keep warm.
  • 6 turn slow cooker to high.
  • 7 mix flour into water until smooth.
  • 8 stir into juices in slow cooker.
  • 9 cook 15 minutes or until thickened.
