Savory Meatloaf

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 -2 teaspoon summer savory
- bottled chili sauce (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 in a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except chili sauce.
- 3 mix with hands until thoroughly blended.
- 4 mound into loaf pan.
- 5 top can be covered with chili sauce.
- 6 bake, uncovered, for 1 hour or until done.
- 7 mashed potatoes and peas are dh's favorite accompaniments for this meatloaf.
- 8 note: summer savory has become hard for me to find in the chain grocery stores lately; but it is worth the search for what it adds to the meatloaf.
