Smoked Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Hamburgers

Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/3 cup minced onion
- 1 egg, beaten (optional)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 1 tablespoon barbecue seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 2 ounces smoked cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and halved
- 4 hamburger buns
- lettuce leaf
- sliced tomato
Recipe
- 1 in a large bowl gently combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, barbecue seasoning, and celery salt until they are well blended and begin to bind.
- 2 shape beef into 8 very flat patties.
- 3 top half of the patties with equal amounts of cheese and bacon, then top with the remaining patties.
- 4 press edges firmly to seal.
- 5 grill over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees f.
- 6 serve on hamburger bun (optional toasted) with the lettuce and tomato.
