"second Only To My Meatloaf" Meatballs"

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 -1 1/2 lb ground beef (or turkey, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard

Recipe

  • 1 mix together all the ingredients for the meatballs in large mixing bowl.
  • 2 shape into balls the size of golf balls.
  • 3 place meatballs in shallow baking dish.
  • 4 combine sauce ingredients.
  • 5 pour over meat.
  • 6 bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • 7 sauce should be caramelized, but not dry.
  • 8 meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen.
  • 9 (place frozen meatballs in pan; cover with sauce and bake. baking time may vary) i've never done it with this recipe, but the crockpot could be a possibility!
