Slow-cooked Spaghetti And Meatballs

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion, divided
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (46 ounce) can tomato juice
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl, combine the beef, 1/2 cup onion, salt and pepper.
  • 2 mix well.
  • 3 shape into 1 inch balls.
  • 4 in a large skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs with remaining onion.
  • 5 transfer to a 5 quart slow cooker.
  • 6 add the remaining ingredients.
  • 7 cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • 8 discard bay leaves, before serving.
