Italian Wontons

Total Time: 27 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 2 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces bulk sweet italian sausage links
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 40 wonton wrappers
  • oil (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 in a frypan, cook sausage and onion, over medium heat until sausage is brown and onion is tender, stirring to break meat in small pieces; drain well, cool completely.
  • 2 stir in mozzarella cheese, parmesan and parsley.
  • 3 place 1 rounded teaspoon of filling in wonton wrapper.
  • 4 moisten edges of wrapper with water.
  • 5 starting at one corner, fold the wrapper over filling, forming a triangle.
  • 6 press to seal.
  • 7 bring other two sides together.
  • 8 cook in deep hot oil for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • 9 drain on paper towels.
