Italian Wontons

Ingredients
- 6 ounces bulk sweet italian sausage links
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 40 wonton wrappers
- oil (for frying)
Recipe
- 1 in a frypan, cook sausage and onion, over medium heat until sausage is brown and onion is tender, stirring to break meat in small pieces; drain well, cool completely.
- 2 stir in mozzarella cheese, parmesan and parsley.
- 3 place 1 rounded teaspoon of filling in wonton wrapper.
- 4 moisten edges of wrapper with water.
- 5 starting at one corner, fold the wrapper over filling, forming a triangle.
- 6 press to seal.
- 7 bring other two sides together.
- 8 cook in deep hot oil for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 9 drain on paper towels.
