Greaselittle Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage, browned and drained of all grease (tennessee pride sausage)
- 2 quarts 2% low-fat milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- salt
Recipe
- 1 lightly brown sausage. tilt pan to side and remove as much grease as possible. pour flour into cooked sausage and mix until all flour adheres to meat. brown flour coated sausage at a very low temperature, turning constantly, for approximately 15 minutes. add milk to sausage/flour mixture part at a time. stir constantly and watch carefully so bottom does not burn. as batch thickens, keep adding more milk. simmer low and slowly until desired consistancy. the gravy will get thicker after it cools in refrigerater so you might need to add a little more milk or water when reheating.
- 2 serve over biscuits or hash browns. enjoy.
