Shredded Chile Beef

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 (4 -5 lb) beef roast, trimmed of visible fat
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies
  • 2 large onions, halved and sliced thin
  • 6 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth

Recipe

  • 1 rinse beef roast under cold water and pat dry. place in crock pot. pour remaining ingredients on top of roast.
  • 2 cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.
  • 3 shred beef with forks until easy to manage.
  • 4 serving suggestions: serve over rice or mashed potatoes, on tortillas with taco toppings, or on a hard roll with cheese.
