Ingredients

- 12 knockwurst
- boiling water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 2 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon meat extract
Recipe
- 1 cook knockwurst in boiling water until cooked through, about 10 minutes.
- 2 drain and return to pan.
- 3 continue to cook over low heat until skins are lightly browned.
- 4 meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan.
- 5 stir in flour and cook, stirring, until it begins to brown.
- 6 add wine and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- 7 stir in mustard and meat extract.
- 8 reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.
- 9 place knockwurst on a serving platter and pour sauce over.
